WAG! Wilderness Walk

Benefiting the Columbus Humane
Pet Food Assistance Program
Labor Day Weekend • Sept. 5-7, 2020

The world may look a little different right now, but one thing hasn’t changed: our love for dogs. Although we will not be gathering together at Prairie Oaks Metro Park to celebrate our canine-human friendships this year, we hope you will join our effort to help central Ohio dogs in need.

In partnership with Metro Parks, we invite you to participate in the self-guided WAG! Wilderness Walk, benefitting the Columbus Humane Pet Food Assistance Program.

How to Participate. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1) Register to participate. Sign up today. The registration fee is $28 (per individual or family) and includes one commemorative WAG! Wilderness Walk dog bandana.

2) Pick a park and a trail. Select the park and trail that works best for you and your canine companion from any of the many designated pet trails within any of your 19 area Metro Parks.

3) Grab your leash and your best furry friend. Enjoy the fresh air and exercising with your best friend at a safe distance in our beautiful Metro Parks at your convenience anytime over Labor Day Weekend. And feel good about helping central Ohio dogs in need.

About the Columbus Humane Pet Food Assistance Program
There are many pet parents in our community who have been financially impacted by Covid-19 and times are tough for many households. As a result, it’s becoming more difficult for some central Ohio residents to feed and care for their pets. In response to the pandemic, Columbus Humane Pet Food Assistance Program is providing free dog and cat food for residents in the Franklin County area struggling to feed their pets. Pet food and supplies are available by appointment for pick-up and delivery. Additional details about the program can be found here.
